Evolamate ("we", "us") provides AI-generated marketing content for Australian local and service businesses. This is an early-stage product — please read this policy with that in mind, and contact us with any questions before signing up.
To generate, store, schedule and publish the marketing content you ask for, to run your subscription, and to email you about your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train any AI model.
When you connect a Facebook Page, you authorise us to publish on your behalf. Once you approve a post, we send its text and image to Facebook, and to Instagram if your Page has an Instagram business account linked. This is a real transfer of your content and images to Meta, and it is governed by Meta's own terms and privacy policy once it arrives. Nothing is ever sent without your approval first.
You can also connect a Google Business Profile. We do not currently publish to Google Business Profile — Google has not granted us the API access required, so those posts are prepared for you to publish yourself. Connecting the account lets us read your listing details to write better local content.
Disconnecting an account stops all future publishing to it and removes the stored access token. Content already published stays on the platform — only you can remove it there.
If you use Customer Engagement, Evolamate collects comments and messages sent to your connected Facebook Page or Instagram account, along with the sender's name and platform identifier, timestamps, and the reply history you create. A person who comments on or messages your account did not sign up to Evolamate — this data is collected because they interacted with your own business account, the same way it would already be visible to you directly on Facebook or Instagram.
We may generate an AI-suggested reply from this data, grounded in your own business information. Evolamate never sends a reply automatically — every reply requires you to review it and choose to send it.
Comments, messages and reply history are retained for 180 days from when we receive them, then removed automatically. Post- and account-level performance figures are retained for 24 months. Disconnecting stops new collection but does not delete history already collected — you can delete that history on its own at any time from Settings, separately from disconnecting or deleting your account.
Your data is processed by the providers we run on. Each processes data on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments; none of them uses your data for its own purposes.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings. Doing so cancels any active subscription and removes your business, every generated post, every generated image, your uploaded logo, the questionnaire answers and document text you added, everything we learned about your business from them, your connected-account tokens, and your usage history. If any part of that cannot be completed, we stop and tell you rather than reporting a deletion that did not happen — your account stays intact and you can safely try again.
You can also remove a single document or your questionnaire answers from the Brand page without deleting your account. Doing that stops Evolamate using them for any new content. What we had learned from that document stops being used straight away, and anything we had worked out about your business as a whole is rebuilt without it before we write for you again. Posts already written are not rewritten — they are what was published — and our internal record of what we had learned is kept as history until you delete your account, at which point it goes with everything else.
You can also email us to request a copy of your data.
Our primary database and authentication (Supabase) run in the ap-southeast-2 region (Sydney, Australia) — measured directly from our actual deployed infrastructure, not assumed.
We use Microsoft Azure for AI-generated captions and images, and our Azure AI resource is configured in the australiaeastregion. However, some of our AI deployments use Azure's "Global Standard" service tier, which by Microsoft's own design may route processing to any Azure datacentre with available capacity — it does not guarantee that inference stays confined to Australia. In practice, this means the AI prompts and content you submit for a caption or image may sometimes be processed outside Australia as part of how Microsoft operates this service, even though our Azure resource itself is configured here. We do not currently have visibility into exactly which other locations that may include on any given request.
This does not mean all your data stays in Australia: Stripe (payments), Brevo (the email provider we send from), and Meta and Google (once you connect or approve publishing to them) all genuinely process data overseas as part of how the service works, regardless of where our own database and Azure resource sit. We are still confirming the exact overseas-disclosure terms for these providers, and for the AI-processing point above, with a legal reviewer.
We would rather tell you what is missing than imply it is settled. This policy does not yet set out our position under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, specific retention periods, or a formal complaints procedure. Those are with a legal reviewer, and this page will be updated when that review is complete.
